Sending love to the world: Great feelings on the Nordkette range

Innsbruck Tourismus recently staged a celebration of love with an extraordinary concert up on the Seegrube. Featuring star DJ and hit producer Richard Judge, the “Sending Love to the World” competition truly reached a high point on Friday, 24 September – at an altitude of almost 2,000 metres. The special atmosphere prompted a lovely surprise: a marriage proposal made before the audience that touched the hearts not just of the future bride, but also of all those present.

Spectacular backdrop: the British singer-songwriter Richard Judge performed on the Innsbrucker Nordkette on Friday evening. A small group of guests formed the audience for the exclusive live performance at the “Top of Innsbruck”. Tickets could not be bought, only to be won.

The lucky winners of the exclusive concert hosted by Richard Judge experienced a unique event. The London-based star DJ and musician delighted the audience on the Nordkette range on Friday with hits such as “Show Me Love”. The concert motto – “Sending Love to the World” – made reference to his super-hit, while an unplanned highlight came in the form of a live marriage proposal on stage. Contestant Maximilian proposed to Julika before the assembled audience – an unparalleled romantic proposal, all against a dream backdrop. He naturally received an emphatic “Yes” from the lady of his heart, with Innsbruck then sending love to the world in the truest sense of the word. An unforgettable experience for all present, with a live recording soon to be available for those unable to attend.

The countdown has begun and the excitement is building: Innsbruck Tourismus will be releasing a live recording of this unique concert on 3 October 2021 at innsbruck.info/sendinglove.

Competition for locals and visitors
Richard Judge’s show was a genuinely exclusive event as no tickets were on sale – they could only be won. Innsbruck Tourismus organised a competition that was open to both locals and guests: only the winners, plus a small circle of invited guests and journalists, then made up the audience for the exclusive live performance at the “Top of Innsbruck” on the Seegrube with its breathtaking scenery. “After the difficulties of the last few months, especially in the tourism sector, we are delighted to be able to start again with a positive message. And, with ‘Sending Love’, we are also showing off our alpine-urban joie de vivre and bringing people together in these challenging times”, says Karin Seiler, managing director of Innsbruck Tourismus. As Thomas Schroll, managing director of the Innsbruck Nordkettenbahnen cable cars, puts it: “The extraordinary panorama of Innsbruck’s Nordkette range makes it the ideal venue for such a special event – and we are happy to provide a stage for it”.

Forthcoming top events
While Richard Judge delivered a fantastic professional performance, the spectacular sunset viewed from an altitude of 2,000 metres also set hearts racing, on a truly special evening that left the audience thirsting for more. Innsbruck Tourismus is ready to meet their wishes: Richard Judge’s concert is just the start of a series of unique alpine-urban experiences and exclusive events for guests that Innsbruck Tourismus is planning as a way to stir the emotions.
